God has appointed a place for each one of His people to be set in His kingdom.
[0:00] A Pastor's Reflections The Perfect Setting There is a place for everyone in God's kingdom.
[0:46] God is not particular in who it is that enters His kingdom, but He is very particular in how they enter His kingdom. John 3.3 However, once a person has entered into God's kingdom, that person can then be sure that God will have a place for him.
[1:14] John 14.3 In Exodus 28, God is instructing Moses in the clothing of the high priest. Just as in every other aspect of the tabernacle, God's instructions are not difficult.
[1:30] But they are specific. It is for man to follow God's instructions, not for man to instruct the God he follows. God alone determines His will, and God alone determines man's part and place in that will.
[1:45] Remarkably, God's holiness did not push man away, but drew man near. A system designed by man would never have given the common man a place within such a holy setting as God's tabernacle.
[2:01] However, God's desire in dwelling among men was not to keep them away, but to draw them near. And God has appointed a place for each one of His people to be set in His kingdom.
[2:14] No matter how common or unimportant we may feel, God has designed a very specific and a very beautiful place for us in His holy kingdom.
[2:24] God's holiness does not push away, but draws near. Malachi 3.17 And they shall be mine, saith the Lord of hosts, in that day when I make up my jewels.
[2:39] Today, know that the events of your life are not haphazard or undetermined. God has specifically set you in the place that you now find yourself.
[2:52] To push you away? No. To draw you near. Psalms 4.3 But know that the Lord has set apart him that is godly for Himself.
[3:05] Father, thank you that you see us as precious in your eyes. You see value in us and our setting that we would never see. Help us to understand that the things that have befallen us are not by chance, but by choice.
[3:20] Thank you that whatever setting you have chosen to place us in is always for our good. Amen.
