[0:00] A Pastor's Reflections, Fellowshiping in the Word. Exodus 25-22 And there I will meet with you, and I will commune with you, of all things which I will give you in commandment unto the children of Israel.

[0:16] Matthew 28-19-20 Go you therefore and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you.

[0:31] John 8-31 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If you continue in my word, then are you my disciples indeed.

[0:43] The privilege of knowing God is not something that we will be fully able to comprehend this side of eternity. All that we have gained in Christ, and all that we have been delivered from, will not be fully realized until we are with our Lord face to face.

[1:00] Even then, all of eternity will not be enough time to contain all that can be known of God. In this life, what we do have is the opportunity to fellowship and commune with God through the revelation of his word.

[1:16] He is not a God that holds himself aloof, nor is he a God of impossible demands. But what he is, however, is a God of unchanging consistency.

[1:29] In Exodus 25-22, as Moses is communing and fellowshipping with God upon the mountain, God is instructing Moses in what the process of coming into God's presence will look like for the nation and people of Israel.

[1:44] The ultimate purpose of this process is for God's people to commune with their God. However, that communion will never be apart from the commands of God.

[1:57] For God has forever linked fellowship with God, with the word of God. Acts 2-42 And they continued steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship.

[2:10] The purpose of the word of God is to bring us into the presence of God. As God's people, we can always know that whatever comes from God is for the purpose of drawing us near to God.

[2:25] Only in God's presence will we find fulfillment. And only in God's word will we find God's presence. Psalm 138-2 For you have magnified your word above all your name.

[2:41] Today, let us come into God's presence by diving into his word. And then let us take that word to a lost world. It is only by the word of God that men and women will come to fellowship with the God of the word.

[2:58] Father, thank you for the opportunity to come into your presence. Thank you that it is in your presence that we find Jesus, the word made flesh. As we commune with you today through your word, help us to then take that word of fellowship to a lost and lonely world.

[3:17] Amen.
